Ballygowan True Blues annual parade this year will be in the format of a tattoo on Friday the 18th August.

Bands will form up as per the usual at the village hall and parade down to the square into a barriered arena and play for 10/15 minutes. You will pass a band on the way down to the arena and the next band on your way out.

There will be a good mix of bands from pipe to accordion, melody to blood and thunder with lambegs on early in the evening a proper cultural event. A trophy will be awarded to the Ballygowan Tattoo Champions at the end of the evening voted by the public by way of a ballot box.

Hoping for good weather and a big crowd it promises to be a great night.
